Understanding Tenant Vetting vs Document Verification
At Tenrisk, our pre-approval and vetting process is designed to assess a tenant’s affordability, financial stability, and rental suitability based on the information and documents submitted.
Please note:

All documentation submitted during the pre-approval process is assumed to be true and correct, as declared by the person completing the form.

Our vetting process focuses on assessing the tenant’s risk profile, not verifying the authenticity or correctness of the documents provided.

If any documentation is later found to have been altered, falsified, or incomplete, the claim may be suspended and even rejected once the Insurer has completed its review.

It remains the responsibility of the landlord or agent to ensure that all tenant documentation is genuine, accurate, and complete before submission.
This distinction protects both landlords and the Insurer, ensuring compliance with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles and maintaining the integrity of the insurance process.

Pre-Approval

This step is our pre-approval step during which we determine your applicant's affordability, credibility and character. As soon as your applicant passes the pre-approval process, you will proceed to step 2.
Cover Activation
This is the step after your pre-approval has been approved in step 1. During this step you will provide us with all necessary documentation to activate the cover.
Broker Appointment & Debit Order
This is only necessary if it is your first time with us. During this step you will appoint us as your broker and allow us to collect premium.
